Abū al-ʿAlāʾ al-Maʿarrī, Abulola Moarrensis (December 973 – May 1057) Arabic philosopher, poet, and writer. Despite holding a controversially irreligious worldview, he is regarded as one of the greatest classical Arabic poets.
